INTRODUCING Our New Missionaries to Antigua:

    Rev. Stanley and Linda Hedden
News from the field . . .
Friday August 23, 2013
Bro. Hedden arrived in the states safely. He said the visitation and funeral went well and he is back in Charleston facing a big problem . . . Someone in Miami got his debt card number and wiped our account dry.  Today he and the bank are trying to straighten it all out so pray for him.

Sarah, the children, and I are doing fine here in Antigua.  I actually got us up town on the bus to the post office to pay the mission's utility bills, and to the grocery store with out getting us lost.

Our numbers have really been low at church because it has really stormed the last three services. We have no vehicle so they don't want to walk in the rain. The tent is so bad now even if they would walk, they don't like to because they get wet even under the tent!! Last Sunday night Sis Caddy sit under the tent during service with her umbrella up!! She sure lightened the service up as everyone got to laughing. Only two others besides our family was there so please pray for the Antigua church.

Another prayer request is for Sis. Caddy. Next week is her last week on her job and her little granddaughter accidentally broke her glasses.  With Bro Ashton still gone away sick and her job ending she does not know how she is going to pay for them.

God knows, so please help us pray about it.

Please continue to pray with us about a new church. Thanks for all your warm wishes for Bro . Hedden's Birthday and for all your daily prayers.

Yours in Christ -
Sis. Hedden

From The Heddens:
We just returned from the camp in Dominica with Rev. & Mrs. Don Raines, and what a great time we had!

Thursday PM, God came while it was time for the preaching, and what a time we had just praising the Lord for around an hour and a half!

On Saturday, the Altar was lined three rows deep with young people, and on Sunday, Bro. Raines preached from the subject, "We have been given the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and we should use it" and the Altar was then lined with adults!

We also had some unusual attendees!  The "Bats" came faithfully night after night! :-)

Please pray especially for Bro. Hedden.  Today is his Birthday, and his only brother-in-law passed away.  Bro. Hedden is returning to the states to preach the funeral at his brother-in-law's dying request.  Please pray for Sis. Hedden and Sarah as they continue the work while he is away.
